A fun night of music and hope for breast cancer research and innovation.

BIG STARS & PINK GUITARS

A Rhythm for Change

Join us for the 7th annual Big Stars & Pink Guitars, an event that supports the Edith Sanford Breast Center’s mission to revolutionize breast cancer care and research.

This rockin’ evening combines the power of music and the power of philanthropy to spark meaningful change for those facing the fear and uncertainty of a breast cancer diagnosis.

We’re proud to say that 100% of every dollar raised from this amazing event stays local to support the Edith Sanford Breast Center. Since its inception in 2018, Big Stars & Pink Guitars has raised more than $3.4 million for breast cancer research and treatment.

Big Stars & Pink Guitars FAQs

Before the Event

Q. What should I wear?

A. Concert glam is encouraged at this event — preferably pink concert glam! There’s no other event like this in Sioux Falls, so this is your chance to glam-up and have fun with fashion and accessories. Feathers, leather, sequins, sparkles — we want it all! Don’t miss your chance to win this year’s BEST DRESSED award!

Q. As a sponsor, who can I invite as my guests?

A. We encourage you to fill your table with friends who love music and who love to make a difference through philanthropy. This unforgettable evening will not only call you to rock, it will call to your heart in moving and meaningful ways. It’s a night you won’t forget! All attendees must be 21 or older.

Q. What does my sponsorship include?

A. Your sponsorship includes a table for you and seven guests, including meals and all beverages. Your sponsorship also includes credit toward your purchase of a signed pink firefly guitar, to be auctioned off during the evening.

Q. What should I expect at the event?

A. Big Stars & Pink Guitars combines the feel of an amazing concert with meaningful moments that will inspire and motivate you to make a difference. You can expect a night filled with music – including a performance from Kory & The Fireflies, guitar auctions, Fund-A-Mission and celebrations of hope and healing that benefit the work of the Edith Sanford Breast Center.

At the Event

Q. Do I need a ticket to enter the event?

A. No tickets are required. Our staff will be on hand to assist you with check-in and locating your table once you arrive. Please register ahead of the event by using this link.

Q: Can I purchase additional tickets or tables at the door?

A. While we wish we could accommodate everyone, this will not be an option. There will be no additional sponsorships or ticket sales for the event.

Q. If one of my guests is unexpectedly unable to attend, can I invite someone else at the last minute? (For table sponsors only)

A. Yes, please select that option when you register for the event or tell your server upon arrival.

Strike the Beat for an Unforgettable Evening

This one-of-a-kind evening will share the personal breast cancer journey of Dr. Cassie Hajek and how your support during this event will help the 1 in 8 women who will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetimes.

Fueled by philanthropy, our expert care teams, leading-edge researchers, and state-of-the-art screening technology are what set the Edith Sanford Breast Center apart. Thanks to the generosity of so many, we continue to transform the future of care for those facing a breast cancer diagnosis.

PUMP UP THE BASS

The evening will feature more than 20 pink firefly guitars signed by some of the world’s biggest stars — many of whom have been touched by breast cancer — in a live auction event. Past events have featured guitars signed by some of the biggest names in music — stars like Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Snoop Dogg, Cher, and REO Speedwagon just to name a few!

You will also get a chance to support our Fund-A-Mission while celebrating our local breast cancer survivor, Dr. Cassie Hajek!

Featuring:

  • Live music from Kory and the Fireflies celebrating the power of music, hope and philanthropy.
  • Don’t forget to wear your best concert glam for the chance to win the BEST DRESSED award. (Feathers, leather, sequins, sparkles — we want it all!)
